Here are some simple Steps to Follow before we arrive
Follow these steps to minimize further damage before Win Win arrives:
- Stop the source of the flood. In order to do this you will need to turn off the water supply – locate the shut-off valve and turn it off. If the source of water can’t be turned off or the plumbing break is in a wall, call as quickly as possible.
- Move items to safety. Move items on the floor away from the wet area. Water travel rapidly through carpet and its padding. Areas that may not seem wet could have water under them, and will spread in a very short period of time.
- Protect your furniture. Use aluminum foil, plastic containers or plastic bags to protect the legs of wooden furniture and to keep the stain in the wood from seeping into and ruining the carpet.
